This post by Jess on "Frugal with a Flourish" asked for ideas on using galvanized items around the house...here's one of mine! I label galvanized cans with lids for "SUGAR", "FLOUR" and "OATS". I just tie on manilla shipping labels with gingham ribbon. Hardware and farm stores have great inexpensive galvanized items that are PERFECT for re-purposing as food, grain, linen and craft storage! We keep a BIG one with a lid on the back porch all winter, and use it as a "freezer" - it is critter-proof!

ReplyDeleteLove the galvanized cans as storage. If it stayed cold enough in the winter here, I would so use one as an extra freezer!
