The LADIES are LAYING! and gals, Galvanized makes Super Storage...

Way to go girls! Sunshine + fresh spring air = more eggs!
That's right, production is stepping up here at the farm...and
we'll be ready and raring to go when it's time to start delivering
to our CSA! More chicks and ducklings will be hatching out next week,
so our customers who've ordered chicks will be getting them by mid-April.
CSA delivery of broiler orders and egg shares will begin in the second week
of May. Just email if you need more details!
A HUGE THANK YOU out to all of our customers, we can't wait to start delivering

This post by Jess on "Frugal with a Flourish" asked for ideas on using galvanized items around the's one of mine! I label galvanized cans with lids for "SUGAR", "FLOUR" and "OATS". I just tie on manilla shipping labels with gingham ribbon. Hardware and farm stores have great inexpensive galvanized items that are PERFECT for re-purposing as food, grain, linen and craft storage! We keep a BIG one with a lid on the back porch all winter, and use it as a "freezer" - it is critter-proof!

  1. Love the galvanized cans as storage. If it stayed cold enough in the winter here, I would so use one as an extra freezer!

  2. Thanks for sharing my post!! I love those cans!!
